Within this website, you will be able to learn turfgrass plant identification properties, differences between warm and cool season grasses in relation to wear, tollerances, and recovery, uses for cool season grasses, uses for warm season grasses, and equipment used to maintain these turfgrass plants in their environment.

Topics of Learning

Plant ID- In this section you will be able to learn different ways to identify some of the most common cool season and warm season turfgrasses. These identification items will include some pictures of plants and descriptions of different parts of plants.

Differences- In the differences section you can learn differences with regard to wear and tollerances of cool and warm season grasses.

Cool Season Uses- Some pictures and descriptions should give you an idea of what types of grasses can be used for various facilities.

Warm Season Uses- Some more pictures and descriptions should give you an idea of what types of grasses can be used for various facilities.
